The City of Vaughan is introducing you to some of the teams that work hard to support the residents and businesses that call this vibrant community home! Join us in celebrating Municipal Clerks Week by recognizing the invaluable contributions of the Office of the City Clerk. 

 

The Office of the City Clerk is one of the primary points of contact for Vaughan residents and businesses. It is also an information hub for Members of Council and City staff. This team reports into the Legal and Administrative Services Portfolio, and offers a variety of services to keep City Hall running efficiently and effectively while supporting the broader community.

 

In 2023, the City’s Office of the City Clerk facilitated 140 Committee and Council meetings, providing a vital platform for community engagement and decision-making. Their dedication and expertise ensure your voice is heard and every decision is made with care and transparency. From creating meeting agendas with reports and items from City staff, to providing procedural advice and facilitating the conduct of the meetings and much more, the Office of the City Clerk plays an important role in Committee and Council meetings.

 

But their responsibilities extend far beyond Council Chamber. These dedicated professionals offer a variety of services, including:
